LOWELL- Jeannine T. (Lippe) Roy, 82, of Lowell died unexpectedly on Thursday March 1, 2012 at Florida Southern Hospital in Orlando, Florida due to a heart condition. She was the beloved wife of Roland J. Roy of Lowell with whom she celebrated sixty-one years of marriage on November 3, 2011.
Born in Lowell on October 15, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Camille and Therese (Aubut) Lippe. She attended St. Louis Parochial School, St. Louis Academy and also Rivier College. Jeannine was a licensed insurance and real estate agent and in 1959, along with her husband, started the Roy Insurance Agency in Lowell. Following her retirement in 1995, she began spending her winters at her residence in Deltona, Florida and enjoying summers at her home on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH.
Jeannine was a very creative and artistic person. She was an exceptional artist, and enjoyed sharing her work with family and friends. Above all things, she loved being with her family and grandchildren.
She held membership in the D'Youville Manor Ladies Guild and was a former member of the YMCA Board of Directors.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Denise (Roy) Welch and her husband, Michael of Tewksbury; three sons, Ronald Roy and his wife, Mary (Rick) of Conroe, TX, Richard Roy and his companion, Kathy Crowley of Dracut, Robert Roy and his wife, Wendy (Entwistle) of Pelham, NH; eight grandchildren, Jason, Trista, Heather, Jessica, Michael, Nicole, Emily and Renee; four great grandchildren; Staciabella, Hayden, Adrianna and Ella. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Lippe.
