Jeannine D. (Tardiff) Condon

May 13, 1944 — February 14, 2015

Jeannine D. (Tardiff) Condon, a former Lowell resident, died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Royal Braintree Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 70.
Jeannine was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Condon.
Born in Lowell on May 13, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Gilles J. and Eva (Lussier) Tardiff.
Jeannine's career as an artist spanned over 15 years in the field of fine art painting. An early capability in drawing and painting led Ms. Tardiff to continue formal art training in Boston at the Vesper George School of Art. Graphic abilities landed her a position as designer/illustrator for several years with a Boston printing firm, all the while allowing her time to pursue interests in travel and art. She had also taught portrait and landscape painting and exhibits frequently in shows.
Ms. Tardiff's painting was influenced by a long time appreciation of French Impressionism. It captured subtle atmospheric light fused with subject matter inspired by nature and architecture. Her art imparted a serene and tranquil feeling to the observer, something which she felt was a welcome oasis in today's hurried and complex lifestyle.
Jeannine had painted and shown her work at a full time studio that she had maintained at The Brush Art Gallery and studios, a cooperative association of fine artists and skilled crafts-people. The studio was located in the heart of the Lowell National Historical Park, the country's only urban national park.
She leaves her brother, Albert P. Tardiff and his very dear friend, Elaine Desrosiers, both of Dracut; her step-children, Kimberly, Caroline and Chris; nephews and nieces, Michael Tardiff, Linda Levesque, Ronald Tardiff and Patricia Devine; also several grand nephews and nieces
