LOWELL - Jeannine B. (Thibeault) Bergeron, age 92, a former longtime resident of the Centralville section of Lowell died Sunday, June 2, 2024 at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice H. Bergeron, who died in 2013.
She was born in Lowell on October 29, 1931, and was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Grace (Cretè) Thibeault. She received her education in Lowell schools.
Prior to her retirement, Jeannine was employed for 18 years as a dietitian at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lowell. She was also the former owner of Jerry’s Baked Beans on Old Meadow Rd. in Dracut.
She was a communicant of St. Margaret of Scotland Parish in Lowell and former communicant of St. Louis de France in Lowell and Ste. Marguerite D’Youville in Dracut.
Jeannine was an avid bingo player and enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods Casino and watching her stories. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time in the company of her loving family, especially her adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Guilmette and her husband Michael of Lowell; a son-in-law, Theodore Faber of Nashua, NH; three grandchildren, Michael Guilmette and his wife Vanessa of Hudson, NH, David Guilmette and his wife Jennifer of Ayer and Amanda Therriault and her husband Stephen of Hudson, NH; five great grandchildren, Michaela Guilmette, Mia Guilmette, Aubrey Guilmette, Ashton Guilmette and Danika Therriault; a brother, Roland Thibeault and his wife Marilyn of Methuen; a sister, Viola Dussault of Lowell; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Bergeron of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Bernice Faber and the sister of the late Alfonse Thibeault, Jeannette Desroches, Pauline Cloutier and Lorraine Germain.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jeannine’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Tuesday, June 4th from 5:00 until 7:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00am at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish in Lowell. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
