Jeannette R. (Tellier) Therriault, age 94, a lifelong resident of Lowell died Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Marcel A. Therriault, who died in 1998.
She was born in Lowell on October 29, 1928, and was a daughter of the late Philippe and Emilianna (Gagnon) Tellier. She received her education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School.
Prior to her retirement in 1994, Jeannette was employed for over 20 years as a data transcriber for the IRS in Andover.
She was a deeply devout Catholic and was an active communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church in Lowell and St. Therese Church, now Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Church, in Dracut, where for many years she brought communion to homebound people in the area. She was also a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Louis de France Council.
Jeannette is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Paul R. and Louisa Therriault of Lowell; three grandchildren, Miranda Tobar and her husband Johnny of Spotsylvania, VA, Matthew Therriault and his wife Kelsie of Westford and Jared Therriault of San Diego, CA; four great grandchildren, Gabriel, Aiden and Liam Tobar and Benjamin Therriault; two brothers, John Tellier of FL and Richard Tellier and his wife Joanne of Pelham, NH; three sisters, Mariette Marhefka and her husband Clarence of Westford, Jeanne Midgley of Chelmsford and Rachel Farris of Hudson, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Robert M. Therriault and the sister of the late Robert Tellier, Lucille Bourassa, Anita Matte and Therese Perrin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jeannette’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00am at Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Church in Dracut. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
