Jeannette M. Silva

Jeannette M. (Foster) Silva, age 63, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Lowell on March 18, 1960 and was a daughter of the late Evelyn F. (Schwartz) and Kenneth A. Foster. She worked as a barber, owning Mill City Barber Shop for many years.

Jeannette was an avid bowler, who enjoyed her weekly bowling nights. She also enjoyed traveling with John and family, fishing and going up to Lincoln, NH, where she always felt at home with nature and called it “my happy place.” Family was everything to Jeannette and she always made a large impact whenever she went.

She is survived and will be deeply missed by her two sons, Christopher Silva and his wife Fatima of Lawrence and Taylor Rourke of Lowell; her three grandchildren, Mason, Matthias and Gabriel; her significant other, John Tierney of Lincoln, NH; her siblings, Maureen Millette and her husband Kenneth of Londonderry, NH, John Foster and his wife Rose of Manchester, NH and Darrel Foster of Ayer; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jeannette’s Life Celebration on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 10 AM until 12 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her funeral service will be celebrated at 12 PM in the funeral home. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
