Jeannette L. Elie

Jeannette Laura (Perrault) Elie of Dracut, 89 years old, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 1, 2012 at D'Youville Manor in Lowell, MA after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on May, 31 1922 in Lowell and was the daughter of John Dewey and Anna (Grondine) Perrault.

Jeannette was the widow of Arthur J. Elie who died in an automobile accident at the Aiken Street Bridge on January 26, 1963.

Together with her husband Arthur, she owned and operated The Golden Dairy in Dracut. After her husband's death, Jeannette sold the milk business and managed the gift shop at St Joseph's the Worker Shrine in downtown Lowell until her retirement.

Jeannette was an active communicant of St Michael's Parish in Lowell her entire life. She was a member and a past president of the Holy Rosary Sodality for many years, and was also a member and past prefect of the Third Order of St Francis in Hudson, NH.

She is survived by her son, Paul Elie and his wife, Bonnie, of Dracut, their four children, Valerie Gonzalez, Jeffrey Zanelotti, Laura Mullen and Melissa Swerchesky; three daughters, Sharon Kizner and her husband, Michael, of Dracut, MA, their three children, Michelle Pimentel, Erik Kizner and Nicole Pagliccia; Ann Scannell and her husband, John, of Lowell, and their four children, Amy Scannell-Rodgerson, Colleen Scannell, Patrick Scannell, and Brian Scannell; Judy Lecesse and her husband, Charles, of Dracut and their two children, Arthur Lecesse and Alesha Lopez. She is also survived by 21 1/3 great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of Dolores Dolliver and the late Leo Perrault, Frederick Perrault, Raymond Perrault, Billy Perrault, Alice Eleftherios, and Irene Ayotte.
