Dracut - Jeannette A. (St. Cyr) Dugas, widow of Harvey Dugas, a Dracut resident, died Saturday August 9, 2008 at a local nursing home. She was 97, and the last surviving member of her family of twelve brothers and sisters.
Jeannette was born in Concord, NH, a daughter of the late Samuel and Marianne (Camire) St. Cyr.
Prior to her retirement Jeannette worked as a stitcher for over 30 years in the Boot Mills and the Merrimack Mills, retiring from the former Model Dress in Lowell.
She was a communicant of the former Ste. Therese Church and currently Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish and a member of the Legion of Mary there. Jeannette was also a member of the Dracut Senior Citizens Club, and a member of the Dracut Foster Grandparent Program for 15 years.
Survivors include a daughter and a son in law, Betty Ann and Archer "Skip" Bowen of Dracut; three grandchildren, Bryan Bowen of Salem, NH, Wendy Montecalvo and her husband Michael of Bradford and Cpt. Daniel Bowen USAF and his wife Jessica currently stationed in Yakota, Japan; four great grandchildren, Brendan Bowen, Shelby Bowen, Zachary Montecalvo, and Samantha Montecalvo; two sisters in law, Jeanne St. Cyr, of Lowell Claire St. Cyr of FL; and several nieces and nephews.
