Jeannette G. Bowen

Jeannette G. Bowen, 84, widow of George Bowen and former resident of the Centralville section of Lowell died Thursday, July 15 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Lowell on February 24, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Aurore (St. Denis) Chevalier. She attended Lowell schools and was a former communicant of St Michael Church.
Prior to her retirement she worked as a coverer for United Elastic in Lowell. She enjoyed bingo and spending time with her family.
Surviving her are two daughters and a son in law, Blanche Bonin of Lowell and Jeannette and Robert Taylor of Dracut; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert Bowen of Lowell, Raymond and his wife Susan of Groton, NH, Edward of Lowell and John and his wife Nancy of Pelham; a daughter in law Rose Bowen of FL; 15 grandchildren, 40 great- grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late George H. Bowen, sister of the late Blanche Asphlen, Joan Senior, Beatrice Chasse and Adelard Chevalier, and mother in law of the late Robert Bonin.
