Shelburne - Jeanne T. (Beaudette) Tousignant, 85, widow of Robert J. Tousignant, died unexpectedly Wednesday September 19, at the Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, MA.
Jeanne was born in Lowell on September 22, 1921, daughter of the late Adrien O. and Alice (Dubois) Beaudette and step-daughter of the late Angele Beaudette. A resident of Lowell through 2005, Jeanne lived most recently with family in Shelburne, MA.
Mrs. Tousignant was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church and Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish and most recently attended the Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenfield. She graduated from St. Louis School and the Lowell Vocational School. Jeanne's caring attention to the details of daily life and personal relationships were a continuous source of joy and love to her family and all who knew her.
Survivors include a son, Robert P. Tousignant and friend Susan Smith of Center Barnstead, NH; two daughters, Denise Barry and husband Bill of Shelburne, Anne Marie Gaddy and husband Miles of Amherst; six grandchildren, Elisabeth, Miles and Victoria Gaddy of Amherst, Stephen Cayer of New York, Emily Rens and husband Reyer of Montana, Laura Cayer and great-grandson Devin Stone of Greenfield.
She is also survived by a brother Andre Beaudette of Tyngsboro; three sisters and a brother- in- law, Dolores Brouillette of Lowell, Simonne and Edward Chandonnet of Lowell, Estelle Tarpinian of Willimantic, CT; a sister- in- law Claire Beaudette of Dracut; a sister-in-law, Joan Tousignant of Lowell, brother-in-law Leo Tousignant and wife Gertrude of CT and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Gabrielle Baribeault, Harvey Beaudette, Germaine Beaudette, and Victor Beaudette and sister-in-law of the late Hazel Beaudette, Andrew Baribeault, Andrew Brouillette, Lorraine Beaudette, Charles Tarpinian , Roland and Germaine (Tousignant) Vincent, Samuel and Lauretta (Tousignant) Ordway.
