Jeanne D. (Girard) Driscoll, 91, a longtime Dracut resident died Thursday August 23, 2012. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Driscoll with whom she was married for 61 years.
Born in Lowell on October 2, 1920, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Adjutor and Albertine (Gagnon) Girard.
For many years Jeanne was employed as a clerk by Courier Citizen. Mrs. Driscoll was a member of the Dracut Senior Citizens Club. Jeanne was a volunteer for many years at the Dracut Senior Center where she assisted in the Meals on Wheels program and was a volunteer grandparent.
Jeanne was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Parish.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mary Driscoll of Lowell; a brother-in-law, Francis Zipps of Lowell; several nieces and nephews, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bisson, Mrs. Yvette Boisvert, Mr. Gerald Ouellette, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Richard Leclair, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ouellette, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ouellette all of Maine, Mrs. Albert Girard of Littleton, Paul and Chris Zipps of Aurora, CO, Nancy Lamoureux of Hudson, NH, Richard and Diane Zipps of Dracut, Pamela Zipps of Lowell, Judith Fairbrother of Chelmsford, Maureen and Wayne Scott of Pepperell, Laurie and Mark Brodeur of Lowell; and many friends in Dracut and Lowell including her good friend, Patricia Dawson of Dracut.
