Janet F. (Nelson) Siebert, 64, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 15, 2022. She was born in Lowell on October 17, 1957 and was the daughter of the late Rena (Menard) Nelson Gendreau and Charles Nelson.
Janet received her education in Lowell, graduated from Lowell High School and received her nursing degree at Rivier University in Nashua. She worked as a registered nurse and was employed for various nursing homes in the Lowell area.
As her profession would have it, Janet loved caring for anyone and everyone. She took everyone in as her own and never made you feel anything less than special.
She had a love for baking as well as everything arts and crafts. Whether it was sewing, crocheting or making floral arrangements, she enjoyed the smiles brought to people's faces when gifted something she had made.
Janet is survived by and will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Amanda (Siebert) Imtiaz and her husband Abbas and Sarah Siebert and her partner Martin Tuck both of Lowell; her four grandchildren, Lena, Faye-Lynne, Aliyah and her first grandson Arham, who is on the way; her three step grandchildren, Rylee, Quinn and Laycee; her four brothers, Bob Nelson and his wife Caroline of OK, Rick Nelson of TN, Steve Nelson and his wife Holly of TN and Mike Nelson of OK; her two good friends, Michelle Angi and Annie Olasz; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Janet was also the sister of the late Jack Nelson, Patricia Netto and Deborah Clark.
Relatives and friends are invited to Janet's Life Celebration on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 4 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
