Lowell - Janet M. (Pilat) Rocheleau, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell and beloved wife of Albert A. Rocheleau passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Lowell General Hospital. She was 69.
Born in Lowell, on April 20, 1954 she was a daughter of the late Stanley Pilat and Theresa (Gaillardetz) Pilat of Lowell who survives her.
Janet worked for many years as a nurses aid and met Al while they both were employed at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Lowell. They would have celebrated their 28th anniversary this coming August.
Janet loved to shop. She also enjoyed cooking and vacationing with Al in Maine. Janet had a fondness for old television shows, especially reruns of I Love Lucy and the Golden Girls.
Surviving Janet besides her mother Theresa and husband Al are her children, Stephen and Heather Finnigan of Wisconsin, Kelly and Kevin Shaw of Nahsua, NH, Jeffrey Finnigan of Dorchester; three grandchildren Lauren, Patrick and Molly; a brother David Pilat of Sullivan, NH; and several nieces and nephews. Janet was also the sister of the late Diane Parsons.
Relatives and friends are invited to Janet's Life Celebration in the McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home, 327 Hildreth Street from 4 until 7 PM on Monday, April 1, 2024. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in St. Michael Church, 12 Sixth St. Lowell. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
