Jane F. "Jani" (Mahoney) Kiluk

LOWELL – Jane F. "Jani" (Mahoney) Kiluk, 44, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday evening, March 30, 2013 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife of Richard P. "Dickie" Kiluk.
Born in Lowell on January 5, 1969, she was the beloved daughter of the late John W. 'Jack" Mahoney and Margaret T. "Peggy" (Wood) Mahoney of Lowell.
Jani was a graduate of St. Stanislaus Parochial School, the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, Class of 1987, and Merrimack College in Andover, Class of 1991, where she received her Bachelor's degree. Jani went on to teach History and Psychology at Lowell High School.
Jani loved sports and competing. She played tennis for the majority of her life, playing and winning many local tournaments. Jani played tennis and basketball for NDA and then played for the Merrimack College Women's Tennis Team. She later coached the Lowell Catholic Tennis Team, The NDA Tennis Team and the LHS Girl's Field Hockey Team.
She was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her 9 year old daughter, Carolyn C. "Cooper" Kiluk and her 6 year old son, John T. "Jack" Kiluk; two sisters and a brother, Megan Mahoney-Crowe and her husband Michael, John Mahoney and his wife Michelle, and Elizabeth Hines and her husband Danny, all of Lowell; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elizabeth (Fuhs) (Kiluk) Makarow and her husband Thomas Makarow of Haverhill; brothers-in-law, William Makarow and Thomas Makarow and his wife Erin, all of Haverhill; uncles, her Godfather, Atty. Joseph V. Wood of Lowell, John F. "Teddy" Wood of Dracut, John "Jack" Fuhs of Lowell, Dr. William Wood of Palm Beach, FL and a very special loving Aunt Mary Callahan of Lowell; nephews and nieces, JohnMichael, Maggie, her Godson Joey, Elizabeth, Jackie, Hayden, Abigail, Cameron, Shawn and Samuel; a dear cousin, Mare Callahan of Lowell, and also her close friend, Mark "Wispa" Winship of Dracut.
