DRACUT - James M. Volianites, 66, a resident of Dracut, passed away on Friday morning, April 27, 2018, with his loving family by his side. He was the loving husband of Christine D. (Topjian) Volianites.
Born in Lowell, on March 19, 1952, he was a son of Anne (Abate) Volianites of Nashua, NH and the late James G. Volianites.
For over 30 years, Jim owned and operated 5 J's Chauffeur Service. His clients will remember him as a friendly, outgoing personality never lost for words.
He enjoyed traveling, specially to Florida, and he loved to go to the beach.
Most important to Jim was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and mother he leaves three children, Jennifer M. Lessard of Lowell, Jamie T. Volianites of Nashua, NH and James A. Volianites of Tyngsboro; a brother, George Volianites and his significant other Sharon of Tyngsboro; a sister, Andrea Volianites of Maine; three grandchildren, Donald Lessard, Camden and Mylee Volianites; his mother-in-law, Shirley Topjian of Dracut; three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Steven Topjian of Dracut, Peter Topjian of Lowell and Gene and Linda Topjian of Lowell; his former wife and her husband, Jean and Jeff Desmarais of Lowell; his former son-in-law, Kevin Lessard of Lowell; also several nieces and nephews. He was the son-in-law of the late Gilbert Topjian.
VOLIANITES- Relatives and friends are invited to Jim's Life Celebration on Friday from 4 until 8 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10 AM in Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish, 1340 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Foundation, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02115.
