James Richard Rush, 55, a longtime Lowell resident died peacefully July 28, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty eight years, Denise M. (Roucher) Rush of Lowell.
Born in Lowell on September 9, 1955, he was a son of Mary G. (McCarthy) Rush of Dracut and the late James H. Rush, a former real estate realtor in the Lowell area.
Jim was raised in the communities of Billerica, Chelmsford and Lowell. For many years Jim was employed by Raytheon in South Lowell. He also managed properties and liquor stores, in particular Guilbeaults's package store in Lowell. His most recent employment was property maintenance with Corcoran Management Company.
In addition to his wife and mother, Jim is survived by a daughter, Natalie Rush and her fiance', Nicholas Halamoutis of Lowell; a son, James A. Rush and his fiancee', Cassandra Ozella of Lowell; a brother, Steven Rush and his wife, Barbara of Manchester, NH; two sisters, Kathleen Stanton and her husband James of Salisbury, Lorraine Rush and her partner, Christine Wood of Milford, NH; four sisters-in-law, Priscilla Roucher and her partner, Cathy Hill of Rochester, NH, Cecile St. Peter of Tewksbury, Tammy Roucher of Lowell, Diane Fraser and her husband, Robert of Lyndonville, VT; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a special buddy and grand dog, Bentley.
He was a son-in-law of the late Albert H. and Alfreda Roucher and brother-in-law of the late Robert St. Peter and Albert G. Roucher.
