Lowell - Jacqueline L. Ryder, a resident of the Highlands section of Lowell, died Thursday January 20, 2011 at Saints Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 59.
Jackie was born in Jacksonville, FL on November 12, 1951, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (Teehan) Ryder. She has been a resident of Lowell for many years.
Jackie was a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and had worked at Saints Medical Center for the past 33 years, where she loved working with and teaching new respiratory therapists.
A sports enthusiast, in earlier years she played tennis and racquetball. She always had a passion for the Red Sox and Patiots. A cat lover, Jackie enjoyed her cats and had often helped at her friend’s animal rescue, The Tiny Tigers Animal Rescue in Groton, MA.
Jackie took great pleasure in music and would often listen to music instead of watching television. She looked forward to traveling with her friends, especially her trips to Maine.
Survivors include a brother, Richard Ryder of Lowell, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Kenneth, James and Virginia Ryder. She leaves her dear friends, Karen Kycia of Dracut, Kathy, Bill and Billy Kring of Charlton.
