Jacqueline (Proulx) Kondra

September 1, 1925 — April 17, 2013

Jacqueline (Proulx) Kondra, 87, a longtime Dracut resident, passed away on Wednesday April 17, 2013 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the loving wife of Ainsworth J. Kondra of Dracut to whom she was married for 64 years.
Born in Dracut on September 1, 1925, she was the daughter of Emile and Alice (Alexander) Proulx. She graduated from Dracut High School in 1943. Jacqueline was employed for many years as a legal secretary for a local law firm and later as a secretary for Lowell Shoe Company.
She was a communicant of Saint Francis Church. Jacqueline loved the ocean, vacations with her husband and family gatherings. She also enjoyed going to the Greater Lowell YMCA with her husband.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, John Kondra and his wife, Doreen of Dracut; two daughters, Susan Kennedy and her husband, Edward of Lowell, Judith Micozzi and her husband Andrew of Dracut; six grandchildren, Christina E. Kennedy and her husband Matthew Miles, Edward J. Kennedy III and Ashley Fairbank, Andrew A. Micozzi and his wife Erin, Michelle Sullivan and her husband Zachary, Melissa Landry and Donald Wetmore, and Douglas Landry and his wife Kristy. Jacqueline also had one great-grandchild Matthew John Micozzi.
Jacqueline is also survived by two brothers, Robert Proulx and his wife, Florence of Dracut, Gerard Proulx and his wife, Dorothy of Chelmsford. She was also the sister of the late Emile Proulx. Other survivors include a brother-in-law John Kondra and his wife Mary, and two sisters-in-law Alice Snapowsky and Frances Puglusi as well as many nieces and nephews.
