Litchfield, NH – J. Raymond "Ray" Buell, 69, a resident of Litchfield, NH, passed away on Monday evening, March 7, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth R. (Levesque) Buell with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on May 10, 1946, he was the son of the late Leo and Therese (Fisette) Buell.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Buell was employed by the Railroad Company of Boston as a machinist.
He loved life, especially time spent with family and friends.
Ray was a longtime member of the Tyngsboro Sportsman's Club and enjoyed hunting.
He enjoyed going to car shows, and as a New Englander, watched and rooted for the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.
In his younger years he worked as a Disc Jockey working parties in the local area.
Ray's family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Anil Chandraker and Staff and Dr. Mark Romanowsky and Staff for their care and love; and all at Brigham and Women's Hospital for the compassionate care given to Ray.
In addition to his wife Betty, he leaves two sons, Allan Buell and his wife Melanie of Nottingham, NH and Thomas Buell of Litchfield, NH; two daughters, Sheila Hooper and her husband Michael of Rutherfordton, NC and Nicole Haring of Litchfield, NH; five grandchildren, Jesse and Nathan Buell, Jacob and Jessica Wyatt and Elise Haring; a great grandson, Maddox Wyatt; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
