LOWELL - Isabel E. (Montgomery) Posnak, age 89, a longtime Lowell resident, died on Tuesday morning, December 27th, at the Palm Center in Chelmsford. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Posnak who died April 11, 1997.
Born in Lowell on March 28, 1927 she was a daughter of the late William J. and Mary Bridget (Dugas) Montgomery.
Educated locally she was employed as a bookkeeper for several local companies, retiring from A. H. Notini and Sons in 1992.
She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church.
She is survived by a step son and his wife, Daniel and Bonnie (Zarella) Posnak of Tyngsboro; a step daughter and her husband, Lorraine and Randy Alexander of Dracut; a sister in law, Ruth Montgomery of Lowell; over 80 nieces and nephews, especially Raymond Flood, Dorothy Johnson, Helen and Roger Fournier and Cheryl and Paul Dion; five step grandchildren, Keith and Brad Alexander, Danny Posnak, Leah and Brian Prince. She also leaves two step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings, her brothers William I. Montgomery and Robert W. Montgomery and his wife Marguerite and her sisters Helen Flood and her husband Raymond, Lillian Brooks and her husband Roland. She is also predeceased by a sister in law Gina Sedelnick.
