LOWELL - Irene E. (Langevin) Rochette, 101, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Sunday morning, February 6, 2005, in a local nursing home. She was the wife of the late Elisee Joseph Rochette.
Born in Pawtucket, RI on October 9, 1903, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Natalie (Coll) Langevin.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by the Grace Shoe Company of Lowell.
She was a communicant of St. Louis de France Church and had been a member of the Ste. Anne Sodality. She was also a member of the Lowell Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Rochette is survived by a son, Renald Rochette and his wife Marguerite of Methuen; a daughter Claudette Manchenton and her husband William of Lowell ; 8 grandchildren, Sandra Daigneault of Groton, William Manchenton Jr. of Lowell, Edward Manchenton of No. Andover, Jason Manchenton of Stoneham, Denise Collins of Bradford, Renald J. Rochette of Lawrence, David Rochette of Salem, NH and Janine Kissinger of Methuen; 12 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Patricia Millette.
