Irene L. Marchildon

LOWELL- Irene L.(Chartrand) Marchildon, 82, wife of the late Armand O. Marchildon, died on July 15 at a local nursing home. Born in Lowell on November 12, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Martineau) Chartrand.
A lifelong resident of Lowell, she attended Lowell schools and was a communicant of St Louis de France Church. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a weaver at United Elastic.
Surviving her are a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Eileen Marchildon of Pepperell; a daughter and son-in-law, Therese and Roger Corkum of Tyngsboro; four brothers, Andre Chartrand, Roger Chartrand, Donald Chartrand, Wilfred Chartrand, all of Lowell and three sisters, Doris Maille, Annette Chartrand, Constance Tessier all of Lowell; four grandchildren, Pam Marchildon of Lowell, Robert Marchildon of Pepperell, Roger Corkum of Manchester, NH, Kimberly Corkum of Reading; 1 great grandchild, Kyle Corkum; also several nieces and nephews.
