DRACUT - Irene G. (Lussier) Cormier, 81, a resident of Dracut, died Friday evening, October 31, 2008 in a local nursing home. She was the wife of the late Real A. Cormier.
Born in Lowell on January 15, 1927, she was a daughter of the late William O. and Aurore (Valois) Lussier.
Mrs. Cormier was a member of the former Ste. Therese Parish currently known as Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish in Dracut.
She also belonged to the Dracut Senior Citizens and the Red Hat Society.
She had worked as a waitress at the former Coq D'Or Restaurant in Dracut.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard F. and Mary Cormier of Townsend and Paul D. and Obe Cormier of Newton, NC; a daughter, Suzanne A. Cormier of E. Hampstead, NH: ; two granddaughters, Michelle Kimball and her husband Jeremiah of Pepperell and Kristina Cormier of Townsend; also several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Joanne A. Cormier and sister of the late Raymond J. Lussier.
