Hilda Baez, age 74, a resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Luis “Guillo” Carrucini.
She was born in Comerio, Puerto Rico on February 22, 1949 and was a daughter of the late Luisa Andino and Benigno Baez. She worked at Prince Spaghetti in Lowell for many years before retiring.
Hilda enjoyed going to the Rockingham horse track with her husband Guillo and was also an avid New England sports fan.
She will be more importantly known for her uplifting spirit, having the highest of hopes in even the worst of times and her willingness to never give up. She brought light to everyone she met.
In addition to her husband Luis, Hilda is survived and will be greatly missed by her sons, Luis Carrucini and his wife Keyla of Bradford and Julio Carrucini and his long time girlfriend Carmen DeJesus of Lowell; her seven grandchildren, Sasha and her husband Lawrenzo, Luis “Tito,” Saisha, Julio, Julian, Jasmin and Alberto; her eight great-grandchildren, Zayvian, Zianna, Lawrenzo, Zoeii, Zendrick, Luis, Nalia and Noah; as well as many other family and friends.
She was the mother of the late Luis Baez.
Relatives and friends are invited to Hilda’s Life Celebration on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 10AM until 12PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell.
