Henry A. “Hank” Wristen, 98, a resident of Hudson, NH, died Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Fairview Senior Living. He was the beloved husband of Claire Gertrude (Lemieux) Wristen, with whom he was married 47 years.
He was born in Sacramento, CA on March 29, 1924 and was a son of the late Annie (May) and Fred Wristen. After high school he proudly went on to serve his country in the United States Navy from 1941 until 1963, retiring as a Senior Chief.
After being honorably discharge from the Navy, Hank worked at Raytheon and was Vice President at Assurance Technology Corporation in Carlisle, MA.
In addition to his wife Claire, Hank is survived and will be deeply missed by his daughter, Leora Wristen; his niece, Roseann Long and her husband David and their children and grandchildren; his nephew, Fred Wristen and his children and grandchildren; his nephew, Mark Wristen and his wife Bonnie and their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his two step-daughters, Denise Whitman and her husband George and Debra Greaves and her husband Roy; his seven grandchildren; his seven great-grandchildren; his great-great grandchild; his cousin Elaine Lareau; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was the father to the late John Stuart Wristen and brother to his late Fred Wristen, Noreen Gresh and Lorraine Mason.
Relatives and friends are invited to Hank’s Life Celebration on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 5 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. His Funeral Service will be celebrated immediately following at 7 PM in the funeral home. Burial at Sea through the United States Navy will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hank’s memory to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, Attn: Development Department, 875 N. Randolph St. Ste 225 Arlington, VA 22203.
