LOWELL - Henri P. Laferriere, 52, a resident of the Christian Hill neighborhood in the Centralville section of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 2, 2017.
Born in Portsmouth, VA, on December 7, 1964, he was a son of Donald and Henriette (Duhamel) Laferriere.
Henri was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1982 and received a degree from Sylvania Tech in 1983. He worked as an electronic technician in the computer electronics field.
He enjoyed restoring antique radios, collecting ball point pens, scratch tickets, and weightlifting.
He dreamed of visiting Iceland and loved extreme weather.
Those close to him thought of him as a kind, caring, family-oriented man with a great sense of humor. They will miss making him his favorite dessert, blueberry pie, and playing board and card games when the family gathered together.
In addition to Henri's parents he leaves a brother and his wife, Maurice and Sonja Laferriere of Redondo Beach, CA; a sister and her husband, Denise (Laferriere) and David Rodriguez of Northboro; two nephews, Nicholas and Bryan Laferriere and his niece and Godchild, Danielle Courtemanche; and his best friend, Mike Fleury. He will also be missed by his favorite canine companion, Max.
