Helen A. Scanlon

Lowell - Helen A. (Szuksta) Scanlon, widow of Raymond J. Scanlon, died unexpectedly Saturday December 20, 2008 at the Lowell General Hospital. She was 79.
Helen was born in Lowell on June 11, 1929. She was a lifelong resident of Lowell and recently resided at D'Youville Senior Care.
Prior to her retirement Helen worked as a textile winder for Joan Fabric.
Helen enjoyed playing bingo and cards, and took great pleasure in volunteering her time at the senior center at D'Youville Senior Care.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Raymond J. and Gail Scanlon of Dracut; two grandsons and their wives, Douglas and Teri Scanlon of Dracut, Gregory and Michelle Scanlon of Sturbridge; five great grandchildren, Taylor, Mackenzie, Delaney, Colby, and Gabrielle Scanlon; a brother Michael Szuksta of Lowell; and her many friends at D'Youville Senior Care.
