Lowell – Helen T. (Joubert) Moran, widow of James T. Moran, died on Saturday October 13, 2012 at the Lowell General Hospital following a period of declining health. She was 88.
Born in Lowell on December 22, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (McDonough) Joubert.
Helen retired from the city of Lowell, having worked as a custodian at Lowell High School.
She was a charter member of the East End Club Ladies Auxiliary. Helen enjoyed being a homemaker in recent years. She was a loving mother and adored her grandchildren. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with them.
Helen is survived by her son and daughter in law, James P. and Alice (McCarthy) Moran of Nashua; four grandchildren, Bridget Davis and her husband Richard, Christina Moran, Kerry Ribeiro and her husband Tiago, Nicole Clegg and her husband Kevin; four great grandchildren; a brother and sister in law John and Lucille Joubert of Hickory, NC; and her nephew Frank Mahoney of Methuen.
She was also the mother of the late Michael Moran.
