Dracut - Helen (Lynch) Kycia, a resident of Dracut, formerly of Lowell died Sunday August 21, 2011 following a brief illness. She was 87.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late Walter S. "Casey" Kycia with whom she celebrated 66 years of marriage before his death on January 7th of this year.
Helen was born in Lowell on August 18, 1924, a daughter of the late William and Anna (Gagnon) Lynch.
Prior to her retirement she was employed as an electronic assembler at the former Wang Labs.
Helen was a former member of the Holy Rosary Sodality at St. Michael Parish.
In earlier years she enjoyed roller skating and ice skating. Helen bowled for many years in leagues at the former Wamesit Lanes in Tewksbury.
She also loved to dance and would enter dance competitions with her husband at the former Commodore in Lowell, where they won several medals.
Survivors include her daughter Karen Kycia of Dracut; two sisters Doris Guidry of Salem, NH, and Beatrice Plourde of Lawrence; dear friends Kathy, Bill and Billy Kring of Charlton; and several nieces and nephews.
