Helen V. (Anderson) Desmarais

Helen V. (Anderson) Desmarais, widow of Robert J. Desmarais, a Dracut resident, died on Saturday November 12, 2016 at the Lowell General Hospital. She was 89.

Helen was born in Fitchburg on February 14, 1927, a daughter of the late Henning and Eva (Derick) Anderson.
She was educated in Fitchburg and Lowell. Helen enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Dracut.

Survivors include a daughter and son in law Constance and Donald Kelly of Dracut; three grandchildren, Deana Martin, Kristina O'Donnell, Matthew Desmarais; five great grandchildren, Emma, Molly, Hannah, Trey, Gabriella; a daughter in law Mary (Economou) Desmarais of Dracut; brothers in law and sisters in law, Kenneth and Ann Desmarais of Baltimore, MD, Richard Desmarais of Searsport, ME, Frances Anderson of Wakefield, Agnes and George Adams of Dracut; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Dana Desmarais, grandmother of the late Michael Rush, and sister of the late Ruth Lamb, Lynne Leblanc and Donald Anderson.
