Lowell- Harold J "Buddy" Brunelle, 80, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Saturday, July 30, 2005 at a local nursing home. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Burke) Brunelle.
Born in Lowell on September 2, 1924, he was a son of the late Jerome Brunelle and
Marie(Lavallee) Brunelle. He attended Lowell Schools and graduated from Lowell High School. He served In the US Navy during World War II during which he received a Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal and Asiatic and European Medals. He was employed by the City of Lowell as a deputy sealer. He also tended bar at the White Eagle Caf�. He enjoyed fishing and traveling.
Surviving him are two sons, Jerome Brunelle and his wife Christine of Hampton, NH, James Brunelle and his partner Brian Smith of Lowell; three daughters, Janet Brunelle and her partner, Robert Veillette of Lowell, Judith McDermott and her husband Richard of Dracut, JoAnn Brunelle and her partner Theresa Stary of Dracut; a sister, Jackie O'Brien of Florida; five grandchildren, JJ Brunelle and Leah Brunelle of Hampton, Joshua McDermott of Dracut, William Pendleton of Las Vegas, and Laura Stary of Lowell; Mr Brunelle also leaves an extended family, Ronald Durand and children and Roland Durand and children. He was the brother of the late Carl Robert Brunelle and Pauline McGee; and was also a longtime companion of the late Priscilla Durand.
