Hans Philip Phil Block

LOWELL - Mr. Hans Philip "Phil" Block, III, age 43, of Lowell, died peacefully with his loving and caring family at his side at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, on Saturday, August 28, 2010.
He was born in Somerville on March 21, 1967 the son of Evelyn L. (Millerick) Block of Lowell and the late Hans P. Block, Jr. who passed away in 1994.
Phil grew up in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School, Class of 1985.
Phil loved life, he enjoyed jet skiing, hunting, and using his metal detector to find all sorts of treasures.
He will be sadly missed by his family.
In addition to his mother he is survived by two sisters, Nancy Morris and her husband David of Methuen and Kimberly Austin of Concord, NH; two brothers, Tristan Block of Lowell and Daniel Block and his wife Laura of Chicopee; four nephews and two nieces, LCPL Christopher Morris and his wife Debbie of NC, Matthew Morris of Methuen, Hannah and Nathan Austin of Concord, NH and Emma and Ethan Block of Chicopee; also several aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves a special cousin and best friend, Joseph Millerick of Whitman. The family would like to thank the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Holy Family Hospital in Methuen and the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill for their exceptional care.
