Dracut- Gladys L. (Boehm) Hesson, widow of Walter G. Hesson, died peacefully on July 14, 2011 at her Dracut residence surrounded by her family. She was 96.
Gladys was born in Methuen on August 7, 1914, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Seigel) Boehm.
She was a member of the Dracut American Legion for many years. Gladys was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter in law, John F. and Ruth Anne Reed of Tyngsboro, Charles E. Reed of Windham, NH; a daughter Charlene M. Kane of Dracut; nine grandchildren, Wayne Reed, Kimberly Costa, Donna Reed Boucher, Tom Reed, Stacy Gilmore, Charles Humphrey, Rebecca Leigh, Candas Kane, Tracy Kane; seventeen great grandchildren; a brother Edward Boehm of Lowell, a sister Arlene Byrd of Vienna, VA; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Jacqueline Hesson and Robert Reed, grandmother of the late Dr. Karen Reed, and mother in law of the late Charlotte Reed.
