Gilbert G. Topjian

Dracut - Gilbert G. Topjian, the beloved husband of Shirley (Proude) Topjian, a Dracut resident died Monday May 4, 2009, at the Saints Medical Center following a brief illness. He was 91.
Born on November 3, 1917, he was a son of the late Kapriel and Amanda (Beauregard) Topjian.
Gilbert served with the 9th Air Force Group during World War II as a combat photographer. He loved travelling, photography, aviation, but most of all he cherished spending time with his family.
Surviving him besides his wife are three sons and a daughter in law, Steven Topjian of CA, Peter Topjian of Dracut, Gene and Linda Topjian of Lowell; a daughter and son in law, Christine and Jim Volianites of Dracut; a sister Gladys Wheeler of Pelham, NH; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Irene Gomes, Isabelle Fleming, Rose Machacos, Claire Boutin, Robert Topjian, and Arson Topjian.
