Gilbert F. Gil Deschene

Lowell - Gilbert F. "Gil" Deschene, 42, a lifelong Lowell resident, died unexpectedly Sunday July 22, at his residence.
He was born in Lowell on October 29, 1964, the beloved son of Barbara Hanney-Deschene of Lowell, and the late Andre Gilbert "Gil" Deschene.
Gil was employed as a construction worker for several area construction companies. He was an avid Patriot and Red Sox fan, enjoyed boxing, especially watching Mickey Ward fights. He especially took great pleasure in family gatherings.
Gil was known for his cooking ability and his sense of humor, being able to make you laugh during times of sorrow and hardship.
Surviving him besides his mother and her companion Sonny Greenhalge are two sons, Keith Deschene, Adam Deschene, both of Lowell; a brother Kevin Deschene of Lowell; five sisters and two brothers in law, Darlene Rodier of Litchfield, NH, Michelle Deschene of Billerica, Karen Coan of Litchfield, NH, Kimberly and David Thompson, Laurie and Brien Rondeau all of Lowell; uncles and aunts, Gerald and Dorothy Deschene, James Milinazzo, Joan and John Dowling, Patricia Hanney, all of Lowell; several nephews and nieces including his special godchild Cassidy Foley, and cousins. He was the brother of the late Sharon Deschene, brother in law of the late Curtis A. Rodier, uncle of the late Meadow Rondeau, and nephew of the late Shirley Milinazzo.
