Gertrude Tgibedes. "Devoted Wife and Mother"
LOWELL - Gertrude (Bouchard) Tgibedes, 79, a resident of the Christian Hill neighborhood in the Centralville section of Lowell, died Monday morning at her home with her beloved family by her side. She was the devoted wife of Stephen G. Tgibedes with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Dracut on January 7, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Proctor) Bouchard.
In her younger years, Mrs. Tgibedes had been employed as a millgirl for several of the local mills.
Following her marriage, she devoted her life to her beloved husband Stephen and the eight children God gave to them. Her enjoyment only increased as her children became older and her family grew to include 22 beloved grandchildren and 2 beloved great grandchildren.
A devout Catholic, she is now home in the Kingdom of Heaven with God Our Father.
In addition to her husband she leaves her five loving daughters, Trudy Morris and her husband Leon of Manchester, NH, Gail Ann Provencher of Lowell, Susan A. Maguire of Cambridge, VT, Cheryl L. Oakes and her husband Jeffrey of Gansevoort, NY and Nancy McNitt and her husband Dage of Ballston Lake, NY; three loving sons, Stephen Tgibedes and his wife Donna of Dracut, Arthur Tgibedes and his wife Patricia of Moultonboro, NH and James Tgibedes and his wife Patricia of Lowell; her brother, Albert Bouchard and his wife Jeanne of Dracut; her sister, Theresa Patrie of Chelmsford; her 22 grandchildren, Amanda and Molly Morris, Stephen and Daniel Tgibedes, Charlie, Anthony, Sarah and Rebecca Tgibedes, Donald S., David and Nicole Provencher, James, Mary and John Tgibedes, P.J. and Laura Maguire, Andrew, Allan, William and Emily Oakes, Cassandra and Eric McNitt; her two great grandchildren, Cody Provencher and Skylar; also several nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Arthur, Lawrence and Raymond Bouchard.
