Gertrude M. (Desrochers) Laurin, 76, a longtime Lowell resident, widow of the late George F. Laurin, died Saturday May 23, 2009 at a local nursing facility.
Born in Lowell on January 16, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Philippe and Almeria (Cote) Desrochers.
In years past, she had been employed as an assembler by Educator Biscuit of Lowell.
She was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Roland Desrochers of Lowell, Emile Desrochers of Dracut; a sister, Pauline Renaud of Lowell; many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Gabrielle Sweeney, Simonne Rocheleau, Real, George and Louie Desrochers.
