Lowell - Gertrude E. (Drury) Delaney, 92, widow of James J. Delaney, a lifelong resident of the Christian Hill section of the city, died Monday August 23, in a local nursing home.
She was born in Lowell on December 24, 1911, a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Tryder)Drury. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church in Dracut, and received her education in Dracut schools. She was also a member of the Centralville Senior Citizens.
Surviving her are two daughters and sons in law, Elizabeth and Robert Crowe of Lowell, Arlene and Larry Walker of Dover Point, NH;a sister and her husband, Dorothy and Leonard Collins of Manchester, NH; her grandchildren, Richard Crowe of Tyngsboro, Sharyn Roark of Dracut, Maureen Moran of Hampton, NH and Glenn Walker of Seattle, WA; five grandchildren, Ryan and Devin Crowe, Ashley and Daniel Roark and Katherine Moran. She was also the mother of the late Maureen and Richard J. Delaney
