Gertrude A. Dahl

Lowell - Gertrude A. (Lagasse) Dahl, 92, widow of Commander Rudolph Dahl, USN, who died in 1999, a Lowell resident, died Saturday April 14, at a local nursing home.
She was born in Lowell on November 27, 1914, a daughter of the late Ernest and Alda (Cordeau) Lagasse.
Gertrude graduated from St. Louis Acadamy, and was a Lowell resident prior to moving to Washington, DC. She was employed at the Naval Ordinance Systems Command for 32 years retiring in 1973. Gert moved back to the Centralville section of Lowell in 1999.
Survivors include a stepdaughter and stepson in law, Mary and Tom Callahan of CA; a stepson, Rudolph M. Dahl of MD; three step daughters in law, Kaye and Robert White, Dale and William Whitker, Cathy Colvard; six step grand children, Lauren Caudill and her husband Dirk, Timothy Callahan and his wife Argie, Jeffrey Dahl and his wife Leslie, Jon Dahl and his wife Darcie, David Dahl, Christopher Dahl; five great step grandchildren; two sisters Gabrielle E. Lagasse of Lowell, Alice Mercier of Lynn; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, a great great niece, cousins and friends. She was also the sister of the late George, Edward, Roland and Remy Lagasse, Bertha Parent, Antoinette Lagasse, and Germaine Lafortune.
