OBITUARY
WALDORF, MD - Mrs. Gertrude Helen (Renaud) Bedard, 81, died Tuesday evening at the Clinton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton, MD following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Rene J. Bedard.
Born in Lowell on March 19, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Louis and Yvonne (Dube) Renaud.
A resident of Lowell most of her life, she was a communicant of the former St. Jean Baptiste Church in which she sang in the choir for about three years, St. Patrick Church and Ste. Therese Church in Dracut.
Prior to her retirement in the 1970's, she worked at the Triangle as a waitress, the Boott Mills and Suffolk Knitting as a twister.
In 1997 she moved to her son Rene's home in Waldorf, MD.
She is survived by her only son, Rene J.A. Bedard of Waldorf, MD; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Rita) Heins of The Villages, Fl, Jeannine DiFranza and Mrs. Alan (Anne Marie) Roscoe, both of Lowell; three sisters, Mrs. Roger (Marguerite) Beland of Salem, NH, Mrs. John (Rita) Joyce of Riverview, FL and Mrs. Robert (Jeannette) Bjorkman of Dracut; two brothers, Robert Renaud of Lowell and Pete Renaud of FL; Seven grandchildren, Eric, Corinna and Matthew Bedard, Sabrina Richer, Brittany, Nicole and Adam Roscoe; three great grandchildren, Kyle and Thomas Bedard and Jonathan Richer; also several nieces and nephews. She was truly loved by all who knew her and will be missed by all who met her.
