Germaine R. (Gamache) Goyette

November 30, 1923 — June 9, 2014

Germaine R. Goyette … beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother
Tyngsboro - Germaine R. (Gamache) Goyette passed peacefully into eternal rest on June 9th, 2014, cradled in the love of her family. Germaine was married to the late Leo E. Goyette, and lived most of her life in Lowell, until moving to Tyngsborough in 2004. For the past 3 years, Germaine resided at D'Youville Senior Care.
Born on November 30, 1923, Germaine was the daughter of the late Gaudius and Clara (Lacasse) Gamache. As a young woman, Germaine worked at the Phyllis Shoe Company, as did many of her contemporaries. She left the work force to care for her children, returning to work as a Dietary Aide at the former St Joseph's Hospital in 1965, until her retirement in 1978.
Germaine was a staunch Catholic, having a great deal of Faith and a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. She was a devoted wife and mother, and truly enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Germaine was an avid reader and a fan of old movies, especially those starring John Wayne. Germaine was a kind, gentle soul, who always put the needs of others before her own.
Germaine is survived by her son, David, and his wife, Candice, as well as her daughters and their spouses, Lorraine and Francis Arsenault, Leona and Bradley Kennett, and Aline and Andrew Tomaszewski. She also leaves her loving grandchildren, Rebecca Bisson, Karen Arsenault, John Arsenault, Bradley Kennett Jr., and Jennifer Butler, as well as their spouses, and her six great- grandchildren, Brianna Welton, Sarah Bernyk, Adrianna Arsenault, Elyse Kennett, Joslyn Kennett, and Connor Ely. Germaine was predeceased by all of her siblings, and her beloved great-grandson, Ian Welton.
Our Family wishes to Thank the staff at DSC, in particular the staff of B Wing and an exceptional CNA who always went above and beyond, and cared for Germaine as she would have cared for her own grandmother. Also, we wish to express our gratitude to Circle Home Hospice for the support given to Germaine and our family, as Germaine's health declined over the past few months.
Germaine was the thread that held the fabric of our family together and she will be deeply missed by all of us. We love you, "Truly Dear" !
