LOWELL - Germaine A (Marcotte) Duffy, 93, of Lowell, died peacefully Thursday, November 30, with family by her side. She was the wife of the late Henry (Harry) Duffy for 67 years. She was born in Lowell, MA on July 11, 1924 to the late Eugene and Flore (Rondeau) Marcotte.
She lived her life in Lowell, attending St Joseph School, and working in the Wannalancit Mills until her early retirement to become a full time homemaker. Her strong faith in God and deep love of family were the most important things in her life. She will be lovingly remembered for always seeing the good in everyone and everything, along with her wisdom and gentleness.
Mrs. Duffy was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart parish and later Holy Family Parish in Lowell.
She is survived by a son Ron and his wife Rosanne of Freehold, NJ, daughter Kathy Cooper and her husband Gerry of Hudson, NH, two grandchildren Jennifer and Christopher Duffy of San Diego, CA, a great granddaughter Laurina Duffy of San Diego, CA, a sister Pauline Lemire of Dracut, MA, a brother Eugene Marcotte of Lowell, MA, and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Cecile Martin, Doris Leary, Georgette Corcoran and Armand Marcotte.
