OBITUARY
TYNGSBORO - Gerard H. Ricard, 88, a resident of Tyngsboro, died Tuesday morning, September 13, 2005 in a local nursing home. He was the husband of the late Cecile (St. Jean) Ricard.
Born in Lowell on December 31, 1916, he was a son of the late Henry and Laura (Therrien) Ricard.
Mr. Ricard attended Lowell Schools.
A carpenter by trade, Mr. Ricard was employed by the Carpenter's Union, Merrimack Valley Local 111.
A former resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, he was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
He is survived by seven daughters and four sons-in-law, Claire and Clement Mendonca of Lowell, Rita Ricard of Kansas, Theresa Brown and her companion Bob Nutter of Brookline, NH, Esther and Raymond Briand of Lyman, ME, Susan Ricard of Dunstable, Cecile and Michael Tandus of Dracut and Nancy and Dennis Abreu of Lowell; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert Ricard of NH, Gerald and Susan Ricard of Lowell and Henry and Elaine Ricard of Groton; five sisters, Cecile Hugo of Lowell, Anita Arguin of Spencer, Theresa Gregoire and her husband Maurice of Clermont, FL, Doris Rondeau of Tyngsboro and Irene Vivier and her husband Leo of Dracut; a sister-in-law, Eloise Ricard of ME; 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Estelle Ricard Judd and Paul Ricard, grandfather of the late John Mendonca, brother of the late Wifred Ricard, Arthur Ricard, Jeannette Farrell, Pauline Lipsky and Estelle Goodman.
