Obituary
Dracut - Gerard Lecourt, 69, a resident of Dracut, died Thursday, December 30, 2004 in a local nursing home following an extended illness. He was the husband of Reine M. (Allard) Lecourt with whom he celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on September 5, 2004.
Born in Lowell on January 21, 1935, he was a son of the late Joseph and Blanche (Carpentier) Lecourt.
Mr. Lecourt retired from MCI Concord in 1989 where he had first been a prison guard and prior to retirement, a transportation officer. He had previously been employed for 13 years as a loom fixer for the J.P. Stevens Mill in Dracut.
He was a member of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish in Dracut.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel G. and Sally Lecourt of Annadale, NJ and Michael A. and Ann Marie Lecourt of Dracut; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and James Valade of Dracut, Suzanne and Ronald Turcotte of Dracut and Renee Lecourt and her companion Michael Matthews of Winchendon; a sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Ernest LaRoche of Derry, NH; twelve grandchildren, James, Danielle, Candice, Cynthia, Pamela, Michael, Sherri, Rebecca, Timothy, Kyle, Samantha and Amanda; five great grandchildren, Savannah, Alyviah, Olivia, Myranda and Evelynn. He was the brother of the late Yvette Cole.
