Gerard P. Cloutier

Lowell - Gerard P. Cloutier, 85, widower of Shirley E. (Baldwin) Cloutier, a resident of the Highlands section of Lowell, died Saturday April 26, 2008 at the Saints Medical Center.
Born in Lowell on July 20, 1922, he was a son of the late William and Rosealma (Dube) Cloutier.
Gerard was a Purple Heart recipient during WWII, where he served in the US Army.
He was employed for many years by the Lowell School Department, working as a custodian, retiring from the former Pine Street School.
Gerard was a communicant of St. Margaret Church. He held membership in the Lowell VFW Walker Rogers Post 662, where he served as trustee for several years, and was a member of AARP.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, William G. and Donna Cloutier of Lowell; three daughters and two sons in law, Alice R. and Raymond McLaughlin, Elizabeth Brenda and Daniel McMeniman, Shirley A. Cloutier, all of Lowell; eight grandchildren, Sharon Mahoney, Steven, Sean and Barry McLaughlin, Douglas and Jeffrey Gagnon, Gerard Paul Cloutier II and Thomas William Cloutier; five great grandchildren, Kayla Mahoney, Arlisha and Elizabeth McLaughlin, Douglas and Dakota Gagnon; several sisters in law and brothers in law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also the brother of the late Atty. Henry W. Cloutier, Raymond Leo Cloutier, Annette Moores, and great grandfather of the late Nicole L. McLaughlin.
