Gerard R. Clermont

Lowell- Gerard R. Clermont, 91, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Wednesday August 2, 2006 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the loving husband of Claire G. (Lippe) Clermont with whom he celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on April 14, 2006.
Born in Lowell on June 5, 1915 he was a son of the late Noe and Marie (Forget) Clermont.
He attended Lowell schools. Mr. Clermont served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Clermont was employed by the City of Lowell for the Water Department.
He was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Normand G. and Therese Y. (Toupin) Clermont of Pelham, NH, Robert V. and Jacqueline M. (Lamoureux) Clermont of Boxborough; a daughter and son in law, Denise C. and Albert McDougal of Richmond, B.C., Canada; five granddaughters; Michelle Cox and her husband Matthew of Bridgewater, Christine Clermont of Marlborough, Kathleen Clermont of Newburyport, Julie McDougal and Kaitlin McDougal both of Richmond, B.C., Canada; two great-grandchildren Gaven Cox and Quinnlyn Cox both of Bridgewater; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Romeo Clermont, Arthur Clermont, Jeanne Couture, Lucienne Clermont and Germaine Clermont.
