Obituary - Gerald J. Surprenant
Lowell - Gerald J. Surprenant, 85, husband of Aldea E. (Hassan) Surprenant, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died Friday November 4, 2005, at a local nursing home.
He was born in Lowell on July 31, 1920, a son of the late Armand and Dorilda (Coutu) Surprenant.
He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and attended Fordham University for two years. Mr. Surprenant was employed at Courier Citizen for 22 years and retired from Wang Labratories in Lowell.
He was a communicant of St. Rita Church.
Surviving him besides his wife are a foster son, Kenneth McAnespie of Lowell; a foster daughter, Pauline Kelly and her husband Larry of Nashua, NH; a brother Raymond P. Surprenant, of Tewksbury; two sisters, Cecile McMenniman and Bernadette Asadoorian, both of Lowell. He was also the brother of the late Armand, Harvey, Edward Surprenant, and Bertha Beaudette.
