Gerald H. Roberge

Dracut - Gerald H. Roberge, the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Wood) Roberge, with whom he was married for 36 years, died Sunday June 29, 2008, at his Dracut residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 81.
Born in Biddeford, ME, on March 17, 1927, a son of the late Louis H. and Irene (Payheur) Roberge.
A veteran of WWII he had served with the Merchant Marines
Prior to his retirement, Gerald was employed by Textron Corp. as a machinist. He had also previously worked for the former AVCO Corp.
Gerald enjoyed the outdoors and loved to travel to Lake Winnipesaukee.
Surviving him besides his wife are a daughter and son in law, Paulette and Ronald Huot of South Harding; two sons and daughters in law, Francis and Marla Tobin of Pelham, NH, Steven and Cheryl Tobin of Lowell; a brother, Marcel Roberge of Biddeford, ME; a sister Rachel Gagne of Biddeford, ME; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica, Tanya, Melissa, Brandon, and Kayliegh; a great granddaughter, Nina; a dear friend James Sheehan of Dracut; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Marie Desrosiers, and dear friend and brother in law of the late Gordon Curtis.
