Gerald F. Courtemarche

Gerald F. Courtemarche, 82, of Dracut, MA, died Sunday, July 12, 2026 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Gerald was born in Lowell, MA on July 4, 1944, a son of the late John and Annette (Bouchard) Courtemarche. He had resided in Dracut for much of his life, and spent his career as a builder and painter in the area. He spent his time camping or going on cross country trips to California with his family. He was an avid car collector and appreciated a good cigar or pipe. He enjoyed spending time in his garage, especially in the winter with his wood stove, tinkering away on his many projects. Above all else, he adored his wife. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Catherine (Gralton) Courtemarche of Dracut: 4 sons, Gerald Jr. and his wife Tiffany, Michael and his partner Sue, Steven, Scott and his wife Nancy, and daughter Diane and her partner Arnie, and Timmy Swain; 4 grandchildren, Nicholas Swain, Chelsea Perez and her husband JJ, Shelby Swain and her partner, Kyle, and Connor Courtemarche; 4 great-grandchildren, Avery, Zechariah, Finley, and Shiloh; nieces Kelly, Melanie, and Marybeth, and nephew Tommy, and many more nieces, nephews, and friends. A private graveside service was held on Thursday, 7/16/2026 at Saint Patrick Cemetery in Lowell, MA.
