Georgia (Limperis) Basdanes, widow of Thomas Basdanes, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell died on Thursday October 24, 2013. She was 83.
Georgia was born in Lowell on September 28, 1930, a daughter of the late James and Anna (Rallis) Limperis.
Georgia was a graduate of Lowell High School class of 1948. She was a member of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church.
Prior to her retirement Georgia worked in the custodial department at Lowell High School.
Survivors include a son, Arthur Basdanes of Lowell; a daughter and son in law, Valarie and Ronald Nicolls of Dracut; three grandchildren, Anne Marie Cantin of Winchendon, Cynthia Rios and her husband Luis of Lowell, Michelle Cunha and her husband Nicholas of Lowell; seven great grandchildren, Alyssa Nicolls, Tabatha Cantin, Alex Cantin, Kasandra Rios, Arianna Rios, Savannah Rios, Alicia Cunha; two great great grandchildren, Annaleigh Quest, Elana Quest; three brothers and sisters in law, Michael and Angeline Limperis of Westford, Charles of Tarpon Spring, FL, Christos and Helen Limperis of Lowell; two sisters and brothers in law, Regina and Angelo Zouharis of Marlboro, Anna and Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos of Tewksbury; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother in law of the late Patricia Basdanes and great grandmother of the late Kaylee Cunha.
