Georgette G. (Desrosiers) Rocheleau, 90, of Dracut died Tuesday October 21, 2014 at Lowell General Hospital- Saints Campus. She was the wife of the late Raymond R. Rocheleau.
Born in Lowell on June 15, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Elsie (Lebrun) Desrosiers.
Georgette was a talented stitcher, having worked in many area dress shops. She was very proud of the stitching that she completed on parachutes during World War II. She loved traditional camping and spending summers at her summer camp in Newton, NH. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and sewing. Georgette
adored her family and making special memories with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Georgette is survived by her children, Priscilla Benoit of Dracut, with whom she resided, Lorraine Walters and her husband, Jeffery of Londonderry, NH, Maurice R. Rocheleau and his wife Susan (Allard) of Lowell and Celeste Therriault and her husband, David of Lowell; eight grandchildren, Bruce, Scott, Raymond, Michael B., Tara, Tracy, Michael T., and Stephen; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Gertrude MacMillan and her husband, Donald of Shirley; brother and sisters in law, Simone Laffey of Lowell, Maurice and Mary Rocheleau of DE, Helen Desrosiers of Tyngsboro; several nieces and nephews. She was the mother-in-law of the late Lionel Benoit and sister of the late George and Lionel Desrosiers.
